The beautiful religion of Islam is built with 5 elements of humility and humbleness. A complete state of devotion and selflessness to meet the higher purpose in Life. These 5 pillars, forms the basis of my islamic lifestyle and also teaches things that you practice in your daily lifestyle.
The first element of the Pillar is Shahada (Faith). The basic essence of Shahada is accepting “There is no god but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of God.” Shahada is the first act of reassuring your acceptance to Almighty Allah and Prophet Muhammad. Strong belief and faith is the most essential for acceptance to follow the path of Islam. La ilaha illa Allah wa-Muhammad rasul Allah.
Praying is an act of bringing pace and harmony to ones self. In #myislamiclifestyle, prayer and devotion to almighty Allah is whole heartedly practiced 5 times in a day. This act is considered a complete devotion of your mind, body and soul to the Almighty. During these prayers prescribed 5 times in a day, believers of Islam from all over the world face towards the Holy Mecca and offer their prayers.
Islam Is a religion that emphasis and strives towards equality in society. It thrives to protect its poor and struggling brotherhood. Islam has made it mandatory for the rich and well-off people to do charity, more than charity it is considered a duty of all muslims. Islam considers this as a tax paid to retain a happy community. The amount of Zakat varies from 2.5% to 20% based on the type of goods, it includes money, agricultural goods, Livestock, minerals and precious metals.

Is the fourth pillar of Islam, practiced during the Holy month of Ramadan, This practice helps you realise the importance and value of God-given things in Life. Humans with the abstinence of food, water and any form of Physical pleasure with the opposite sex from dawn to dusk, realise its value and also realise how is it to live without these basic needs like many poor people in this world. This practice also builds a lot of self-control in followers of Islam in giving into various materialistic pleasures in life.
The last pillar of Islam is Hajj, a pilgrimage made to Kaaba, the House of God. Every able muslim, whose absence is not going to affect his family has to go to Hajj at least once in his life time. The Holy Kaaba is present in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Believers of Islam begin their Journey to Hajj in the last month of Islamic Lunar calendar. Hajj completes the fifth pillar of Islam.
